Feature Article - Selecting a Feed Mixer

A mobile feed mixer has two primary purposes: It must have the ability to chop and mix extremely well a variety of feed.

Stock are a bit like children with their feeding habits, they like to pick and choose whenever possible. Give a cow, grain and straw, they will eat the tasty small grains and will only lie on straw.

Give a child, or for that matter, myself, the choice of ice cream or brussel sprouts and you know what will be left! This is a concern for animal nutritionists as this may lead to a lowering of PH in the rumen, that can in turn result in acidosis or grain poisoning.... See full article >
